摘要：Sulfonated styrene polymer and/or its salt, a waste water treatment materialand sludge dehydrating agent each containing the sulfonated styrene polymer and/or itssalt as an effective component thereof are disclosed. The waste water treatmentmaterial is used such that the sulfonated styrene polymer and/or its salt, which has aviscosity of 10 mPa·S to 20,000 mPa·S at 25° C. after 0.01 N to 5 N of a neutral salt hasbeen added to the 1 wt % water solution of the sulfonated styrene polymer and/or itssalt, is added to each waste water so that waste water is purified. When a sludgedehydrating agent is required, the sulfonated styrene polymer and/or its salt having aweight average molecular weight of 1,100,000 or greater is combined with a cationpolymer flocculating agent or an inorganic flocculating agent.
